Today, Pastor Jack tells us that time reveals what we’re really made of. Many will fall victim to the pressures and demands of life. Their casual knowledge of God was simply a convenient approach to knowing God. But, believing in God isn’t the same as having faith in Him.

Today, Pastor Jack shares with us that a heart that is unwilling to commit often agrees with the Gospel message. It will even embrace the fact that the Gospel is an influence. But, in time, the heart will soon reveal its lack of sincerity, and depth.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us that the Christian message does not come by threats or force. But, the response of most comes from a heart that is unable to go deep. They are so preoccupied with life, they cannot take in God’s message of salvation.

A wayside heart is always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. It watches opportunities go by, including God’s message of salvation. The smartest of people will often reject the truth of the Gospel.

There is no such thing as spectator Christianity. A hardened heart can only hear. It is not moved by the things of God, and has no desire to share the Gospel, or be involved in helping others.

When we’re hungry enough to be forgiven, God rescues us for all eternity. To all of us who come to Him, the Lord will say, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” No sin, no fear, and no pain can change our new life in Christ.

To hunger after the Lord is to want to know the truth. We’re all limited in our knowledge, but God is both Spirit and truth. He’ll expose our desperate need to be forgiven, and set us free from our sins, no matter who we are, or what we’ve done.

To hunger after the things of God is a very personal longing. We’ll want to bring Him our very best, and give Him our all. Nothing can satisfy us more than a personal relationship with the Lord.

As a Christ follower, faith in the Lord is the cure for doubt. When we live by faith, we rest in His hands. We won’t worry, fret, or panic when things seem to go against us.
