When the Lord is not on our minds, our thoughts can go dark. We even go as far as to think we are holy, and pride takes over. But, there’s always hope. We can change our minds back towards God by renewing our personal commitment towards Him.

God is the God of reason, purpose and meaning. There’s nothing within His design that is senseless or without purpose. God even pursues us with a purpose, before we ever thought to pursue Him. That’s why salvation is possible when our minds are changed towards Him.

There’s no way we would think about loving God unless He first loved us. There’s no way we would desire Heaven unless God first put it in our hearts. And, there’s no way that we would want to praise Him unless the Holy Spirit is alive within us.

The human mind and how it works has been one of the great mysteries. And, to change one’s mind actually means that we’ve had a change of heart, especially if it’s a spiritual conversion. But, in our need to pursue God, what we really begin to see is that He was in pursuit of us all along.

Pastor Jack encourages us to be strong and courageous, because the Lord is with us wherever we go. Even in our solitude, and isolation, the Lord has never left our side. In this world, we are going to have trouble, but we are to be cheerful, for Jesus Christ has overcome the world.

The Lord knows our good works. Our good deeds have not gone unnoticed. The church of Ephesus stood against evil and false teachings. And, as doers of the Word, we will also not worry or fear, during this time, but lean into what God is perfecting in us.

God is speaking to us in this crisis and we need to tune in. God has used the Coronavirus to silence our world, and bring us into our own space to listen to Him. God in His mercy is shouting to us, in the quiet times of our own isolation.

We have to decide whether we’re going to walk our own path, or wait on the Lord, and let Him lead. But, we need the mind of Christ, and His wisdom to understand the Scriptures, and what the will of God is for our lives.

God promises in His Word to bring the Jews people back to Israel. That’s why they’re remembering their heritage and returning to their Homeland. God is setting the stage for His people, and preparing them for what lies ahead.

Depression can affect our spirit. But, in the middle of our despair, God reminds us that He will never leave us or forsake us. It’s in our weakness that the power of Christ rests upon us.

Today, Pastor Jack will tell us that everything he went through during the 24 months of insomnia could not be learned from a book, a sermon or from other people’s experience.
