Even though Timothy was a young man, he was faithful, and similar in spirit with Paul. Timothy genuinely loved the Philippians, and was a true friend that Paul could trust.

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

Paul’s trust was ultimately in the Lord Jesus, and so should it be for us! Many Christians are not trustworthy. They think only of themselves, and therefore, only pursue their own interests. The friends we fellowship with need to be, by virtue, a disciple of Christ. But, we cannot just make oneness happen, or simply order it to be so. Only friends with a heart for God will sincerely care for our well-being, and unite with us in furthering the Gospel message.

God has given each of us a mission and a calling. And, when we give our lives over to Him, our final destination will be forever in heaven with Him. Having a faith on fire is having a faith that is not forgotten. Our deeds here on earth will carry on through eternity.

God gave us His Son Jesus, and we need to share Him with others. Paul shared his faith with the Philippians in love and as an offering towards their spiritual growth. He poured out His life joyfully and they rejoiced with him because of his sacrifice.

To just believe in Jesus Christ is not enough. Our belief must bring us to having a relationship with Him. Having a oneness with Christ builds trust in Him, and His word. And having faith that is on fire for Christ gives us a reason and a purpose for living.

Every great fire must first be ignited. Not all of us are called to be fiery torches. The intensity of our flame may not be as strong as other believers. But even the smallest match burning against a dark world is a bright light.

How do we keep from putting out God’s flame in our lives? It is by doing all things without complaining and disputing. We can glorify God by continually praising His name. And, we can avoid offending Him by serving Him with gladness.

We were re-created by God to share the Gospel of His son Jesus Christ. To take on the attributes of God means to become more like Him. And the more we are like Him, the more we are consumed by His love, and want to tell others about it.
June 15, 2017
We may have justifiable hurts, but not justifiable complaints. The Christian life is about God’s will being done, not ours. When complaining takes control, we become unthankful, unholy and self-led.
June 14, 2017
When we complain and have disputes against one another, it only embitters our hearts. Instead we are to be enveloped by the presence of God, recognizing that He is in charge, and He knows what He is doing.
