A story of hope

We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

--2 Corinthians 5:20b

Today I want to tell you an amazing story about Major League Baseball player Josh Hamilton. His story will encourage you, not as much about his homerun power, but about the power of God in his life.

In 1999, Josh was the top Major League draft pick, and he went to play for Tampa Bay. And early in his career, Josh, a straight-arrow kid who had never had a drink or experimented with drugs, became injured.

He started hanging out in a tattoo shop and it was there that Josh began using drugs. In fact, he became instantly addicted to crack cocaine. In spite of having a loving wife who prayed for him, he fell further into sin and addiction. He tried rehab several times, but it didn’t work.

Desperate and at the end of hope, Josh showed up at his grandmother’s door a shell of himself. His grandmother confronted him and counseled him, and as a result of her love and the love of his wife and family, Josh was gloriously transformed by God’s grace, love, and mercy. He was changed!

What programs could not do for Josh Hamilton… what people could not do… God did!

So if you’ve ever said, “I’ll never change… I’m too far gone,” listen. No one is so far gone that God cannot reach him. Including John Hamilton… and you!

NO ONE IS SO FAR GONE THAT GOD CANNOT REACH HIM. INCLUDING YOU!

Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out

Dear Friend,

Do the words rested... peaceful... and refreshed describe you today? Or do the words stressed... rushed... and pressured better describe your way of life?
If you're like most Christians, you'd probably have to admit those last three words more accurately describe your life most of the time!
The good news is that it doesn't have to be this way... even when your life is one big pressure-cooker. And in my new book, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out, I'll show you why.
Based on the principles from Paul's letter to the Philippians and Psalm 23, Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out will help you find true peace and rest in a world that is anything but peaceful and restful. It's the perfect "pause" button you need!
So please request your copy of Pause: Resting in God Instead of Stressing Out when you give online today!  --Jack Graham
