Is Jesus Lord of your life?

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 7:21

One of my biggest fears in life is that so many people sitting in churches all over the world today have paid lip service to the lordship of Jesus Christ. They truly want the benefits of going to heaven and love the good feelings that come with being a part of church community. But they have never really yielded their lives to the authority of Jesus Christ.

This way of thinking and acting is dangerous for a two reasons. First of all, if Jesus isn’t Lord of your life, then what are you living for? Are you still following old patterns of sin in your life and dishonoring God with the way you live? If so, that’s not biblical Christianity.

The second reason this is so dangerous is because it’s possible that those who haven’t surrendered to Christ were never truly saved in the first place. Take today’s passage, for example, which says that not everyone who claims Jesus with their lips will enter God’s Kingdom.

Now I want you to know that if you’ve truly placed your faith in Christ, you are secure in Him forever. But if you’ve simply paid lip service to the Gospel and have never truly given Christ your heart, surrender to Him today because it’s never too late to make Jesus Lord of your life!

DON’T JUST PAY LIP SERVICE TO JESUS. SURRENDER YOUR HEART TO CHRIST AND MAKE HIM LORD OF YOUR LIFE!
