By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.

--Proverbs 24:3-6

I truly believe as God’s Church and as God’s people, we can save the next generation…and the future of America…by fighting for our families.

Because when you fight for the family, you strengthen the family. And when you strengthen the family, you strengthen the nation! Our true national security is not in weapons or in warheads, but in the moral and spiritual strength, fiber, and faith of our families.

So how do you fight for your family? By building it on a solid foundation.

In Matthew chapter 7, Jesus tells us a story about two men. One built his house on the rock and the other man built his house on the sand. And when the storms came, the house that was built on the rock stood strong. But the one that was built on the sand fell! In fact, Jesus said, “Great was the fall of it.”

What I’ve come to learn over the years is that in life, you’re either in a storm, coming out of a storm, or about to go into a storm. So it’s vital that you build your life and the life of your family on a solid foundation…the Rock of Jesus Christ!

What foundation are you building your family on today?

Perhaps you’d admit that your family is built on the sand of worldly wisdom. Perhaps you’ve allowed the sewage of our contemporary culture to seep into your home. Or perhaps you’d acknowledge that you’ve been too lax about making sure your family is plugged into a local church body.

Today, I want to challenge you as a Christian mom or dad to build your house on the solid Rock of Jesus Christ. Because I can guarantee you that the storms of life are going to rage…and their harsh winds are going to blow!

And you will need the foundation of Jesus Christ to keep your family strong.

build your family on the foundation of jesus christ and his wisdom.
