Imagine being Naomi or Ruth. You’re going through incredible personal loss in the midst of a famine. That may be all we see, but God is working during such times. And in the four short chapters of the book of Ruth, we see God moving forward with His plan of redemption.
By the end of the book, we find out that Boaz and Ruth are the great-grandparents of King David. Fast forward to the first chapter of the book of Matthew and we see that Boaz and Ruth are in the genealogy of Jesus.
Even in our darkest days, God is still there, and He’s still in control.
