The Final Antichrist Part 2

In both Daniel and Revelation we’re told of a coming global leader that will come onto the scene in the last seven years of world history, known as the antichrist. And we’re getting to know him right now on Light on the Hill. Not to frighten you, but rather to encourage you to look for the return of Jesus. He’ll promise peace, and bring destruction! The world will embrace him and his lies. Let’s learn more about his evil reign, today with pastor James Kaddis.

The Lord through His Word gives us many prophecies… some of which have been fulfilled and others that will be in the future. In Daniel we’re given both! In chapter eight Daniel is given an amazing vision. He sees a Ram, a Goat, and then a little horn! Thankfully our Lord gives us the interpretation here too, so we’re not left to wonder.

We’ve been going through the book of Daniel with pastor James Kaddis, and we’ll have one more look at chapter seven for you today. If you’ll recall there are four beasts in this vision given to Daniel, and the very last one has ten horns. Pastor James believes this is descriptive of a Revived Roman empire that will be made up of ten nations, and led by the antichrist. We’ll learn, things are developing rapidly in this world, setting the stage for this to happen perhaps very soon!

Pastor James Kaddis will have a look today at a vision Daniel received that includes several beasts. One of them represents a revived Roman Empire, that we’ve yet to see. It’s one thing to be faithful to the Lord when things are going great, but what about when the heat is on and your very own life is threatened if you do? Today on Light on the Hill we’re encouraged in the direction of faithfulness to God no matter what. We’ll see what that looks like in the life of Daniel. He was told not to pray and if he did he’d be thrown into a den of lions. That didn’t deter Daniel as we’ll soon see. But God would be faithful and protect him.

We live in a world that is becoming more and more hostile toward Christians. All around the world we see the persecution of believers growing at an alarming rate. And we even see that that here in America, especially in recent months. Today on Light on the Hill pastor James Kaddis teaches from Daniel chapter 6 about the persecution of Daniel that landed him in the lion’s den. It’s one of the more familiar stories in the Old Testament, and has a lot to say to us about being faithful to a faithful God and taking a stand for righteousness.

Daniel was completely sold out to the Lord, and kept his eyes focused on what God called him to do, no matter what people thought of him or what came against him.
