We all go through difficult times, but if we’re a Christian we have a glorious future to look forward to in heaven, and can be confident God is accomplishing something great in and through our lives.  Maybe like so many you can say you grew in your love for Jesus during that time, like no other season in your life!   Keeping that perspective will serve to help you avoid throwing in the towel.

Whether you’re trying to kick a bad habit, or just grow in your relationship with the Lord, it’s important to realize where your sufficiency comes from!  It comes from the Lord.  And the sooner we realize that the better.  Let’s spend some time talking about that today on Light on the Hill.

In the world as we know it, we tend to measure a person’s success by their credentials and what they’ve achieved.  But when it comes to ministry and the Christian life it’s really more about what we’ve received, grace and the calling of God on our lives.  That comes to our attention in today's study from Second Corinthians.

Throughout the Christian life, God opens various doors for ministry. Will you step through the door or miss out on the golden opportunity?  You can be sure a certain measure of faith is required.  Today on Light on the Hill Pastor James Kaddis points to the door God opened for Paul the apostle and what happened as a result of Paul walking by faith.

We’re to expect suffering as we go through life, and as we’ll discover today God wants to be our comforter through it all.  Whether you’ve lost a job recently, you're suffering through an illness, or you have a difficult home environment, let’s find comfort in our Lord and see how to pass it on to others!

The life of a Christian is sure exciting! But that doesn’t mean there won’t be suffering. Even in the suffering God is faithful to provide comfort and to use the Christian’s experience to be a blessing to others. And today on Light on the Hill we’ll see this shining through as we continue a brand-new series in Second Corinthians.
