Elizabeth Woodson, author and founder of the Woodson Institute, understands how easy it is for today’s Christians to feel burdened with negativity due to the constant bombardment of technology and social media in our lives. She shares with Zach Clinton that this struggle was also a reality for many people in the Bible, noting that 40% of the Psalms are devoted to lament. But, rather than being overwhelmed by these feelings, Elizabeth urges us to return to what never changes — the hope of the gospel. She encourages us to be mindful of what we dwell on, to meditate on the unchanging truth of God’s word, and to seek healing by allowing other believers to walk with us through the hard times.
