Thirty-one years ago today, Joni and other disability advocates joined President George H.W. Bush at the White House for the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Though the ADA brought important changes to the public sphere, the law does not change hearts. Only Jesus can transform hearts and attitudes toward those with disabilities.
