Busy days rarely lead to quiet mornings. But after teaching crowds, casting out demons, and healing Peter’s mother-in-law, Jesus rose before sunrise and sought out a solitary place to pray.

From Mark 1:29–39, Pastor Chuck Swindoll draws three lessons from a single day in Jesus’ life. Compassion moves us toward real needs, humility keeps us gracious, and time alone with the Father keeps ambitions in check.

Follow Jesus’ example and carve out time alone with God. In the quiet, He supplies the perspective needed for the demands ahead!
