Christ not only pardons our sins, but He gives us the power to overcome the thing that led us to do that in the first place. We’re reminded in Romans 8:1, ‘there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.’ It’s important to understand that God’s forgiveness is not simply some legal enactment that takes place up there in the celestial glory, it’s a divine grace-filled act that changes us where we are.
