In this passage, Peter takes us through the greatest act and example of unjust suffering there is - Jesus Christ taking on the penalty of sins. Sins He did not commit. Peter saw the suffering of Jesus first hand, and portrays it like a moving picture with all the different scenes of the passion. Displayed here is the meekness of God in man's flesh. Meekness is one of the most powerful fruits of God's Spirit we could have. To be submitted to the Father's plan, confident in His judgment, and to love with the Father's love. That is meekness.
