We are called to a battle – not a life of ease.  If I ignore Satan and don’t think he is actively opposing me I am already a victim; I am already a casualty of spiritual warfare. Every attribute he has is perfect evil, and we - the church - are the focus of his perfect hatred.  He attacks us physically and he attacks us mentally.  Ecclesiastes 8:8 says it is an unavoidable war. We must understand that we live in a day of siege. But we have the armor of God.
