A costly prayer is selfless; it is a prayer that is compelled by something or someone. Born out of something happening to the person who is praying that is humbling them before God. This is not a prayer to “get”. It’s when I take the attention off of myself and put it on the eternal and what really matters to Christ, that my life is changed. It is then that I begin to live a blessed life.
