Corinne Bundy, visits with Gerry at the MathewsDealership Show in the Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Corinne tells about her job at Mathews, Inc. whichincludes handling all of the business’s websites, social pages, and media promotion. As a little girl shehelped her dad in their family-owned outdoor business and learned to be pretty good at counting wormsthat were sold to people looking for fishing bait. When she got older she actually started selling archeryproducts, including bows, and started shooting herself in the archery lanes at the store. Her skill got her to apoint where she wound up getting a scholarship to a university with archery and shot on a team in both theUSA and overseas. Corinne’s office is adorned with a very large black bear on the wall and she tells thestory of how her dad and she went on the bear hunt where they both were successful in Wisconsin.

Freelance writer, Tracy Breen, shares how he gotstarted in outdoor writing and how he juggles this with his family, as he plays “Mr. Mom”, watching thekids at home while he writes his articles. Tracy tells how he has trained a dog to hunt turkeys, which islegal in some states. He also shares how he accidentally shot himself on one of his turkey huntingadventures, which almost cost him his life. He gives the Lord the credit for who he is and how Jesus hasgiven him the writing skills that are helping him fulfill his dream of being an outdoor writer.

David Hale from Knight & Hale Game Calls, tells howhe and Harold Knight gave one of their calls to an outdoor writer as turkey hunting was just starting to takeoff in the USA. That article in an outdoor magazine caused hundreds of letters to come in requesting one oftheir calls and the opportunities for this kind of promotion continued to grow as did their business. Davidshares how they give all the credit for what they have been able to do to the Lord and how He has helpedthem all along the way.

Gerry visits with Al Lindner in Brainerd, Minnesota at the LindnerMedia studios, as Al shares about a wounded warrior’s fishing event he does every year. The two talk about Al’s timein Vietnam, coming home to abuse by those he met and how the experiences in a combat situation affected troops thenand still do affect men and women today. Al looks at an individual situation that really gripped his heart and tells howthe Holy Spirit spoke to him about having extended time with one of the soldiers God had put into his life, by spendingtime fishing on the water.

Host of The Sportsmen’s Channel, television show Leading LadiesOutdoors, Tammi Koenig visits with Gerry at the Mathews Dealership Show in the Dells, Wisconsin. Tammi shareshow she got involved in archery and was an avid animal rights person. Yet when told “Yeah you can shoot good attargets, but women can’t hunt.” and after a close encounter with a deer, she decided to try hunting. From all of this shebecame a bow staff pro, was featured on a number of television programs, and now has her own program with herdaughter Brittney. Tammi also reveals her abusive life growing up and how it affected her and how she eventuallycame to know Jesus as her savior.

The Legend Ranch in Bitely, Michigan is the location for thisweek’s interview with Skipper Bettis. Besides sharing how he got involved in the outdoor business world, he also talksabout the annual hunts they do on the ranch with young people having severe disabilities or terminal illnesses whowould not get to hunt deer unless they make the opportunity available to them. The same thing is true with their annualPurple Heart Hunts for wounded warriors who aren’t able to harvest a whitetail buck unless this chance is presented tothem. In both cases, the events are not just about bagging an animal, but also about sharing who Jesus Christ is and howHe can save them from an eternity separated from God in Hell.

The designer of the “Tract Rack”, Joel Proffit, is the guest on thisweek’s program. Joel has taken a mule deer antler shed and an elk antler shed, cutting into them locations where tractscan be inserted and held with spring-loaded pins as display pieces that can be placed on a desk or countertop wherepeople come to do business. These two items are now produced as reproductions and can be purchased to have theseministry tools available for visitors who may come into the listener’s shop or office. They certainly will grab people’sattention and draw them to check out these two animals’ antlers. Joel also shares about tracts he has produced and areavailable through his website as well.

On this week's program we visit with Ron and Dolores Lindner, and an amazing thing happens. Other than saying hello to the audience and goodbye at the end,Ron allows his wife Dolores to tell of the many difficult years of struggling with Ron's alcoholism and all that relates to that addiction. This is her side of the story of the tract on Ron's life and how he came to Christ, called "The End of the Line!" For someone who normally doesn't get in front of a microphone, she did a wonderful job of sharing about their difficulties and their victory because of Jesus Christ.

Butch Thomas who is the sales and marketing manager for Morrell Manufacturing, Inc., a company that produces both bag targets and 3D targets, is the guest on this week's program. Gerry visits with Butch in Wisconsin at the Mathews Dealership Show, as Butch shares about growing up without a father, his mother's faith in God, and how that was transmitted to him as he grew older. Butch talks about his first experience shooting a gun with his uncle and how he hit the soupcan, which was the target, with the very first shot and how his marksmanship has been used for both ducks and deer. He also tells a story about his daughter, a prayer that he asked God and how God answered it in his daughter's life.

On this week's program a summer day after a terrific thunderstorm in the middle of the night, the radio station KBHW in International Falls, Minnesota discovered they had transmission problems. The station manager, Bruce Christopherson relates how what appeared to be a phenomenal tragedy when it was discovered that their tower had been blown down, with time and faith turned out to be an incredible blessing for the staff and the station. Bruce also shares about the memorable times hunting with his dad, pursuing water fowl and fishing through the years and how he cherishes the memories.

About Dean Hulce

Dean Hulce was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he spent every weekend in the woods or on the water with family and friends.  After graduation he married his highschool sweetheart Linda.  They have two boys and 5 grandchildren. 

Dean has written for several hunting and fishing magazines over the last 25 years. He has guided  hunters and fisherman as well as run hunting fishing camps from South Texas to Alaska and many states and provinces in between.  In the last 10 years Dean has written a daily devotional that goes out to thousands each day. He had published 5 devotional books, using hunting stories to bring a message to people.  He has traveled across the USA speaking to groups, spreading the gospel through outdoor experiences.

Dean has no doubt that God has prepared him his entire life for his position with God's Great Outdoors Ministry
