Creating a Covenant-Keeping Community
Part of the dissolution of the nuclear family required a move towards no-fault divorce which came to this country in due course between 1970 and 1983. What do you do when you live in a nation characterized by flakiness? Reverse the no-fault divorce laws? How do you put Humpety back together again?
Kevin Swanson recommends establishing covenant-keeping communities. Imagine a church that will not take as members those that are planning to get divorced – churches that will hold families accountable to this commitment, and dis-fellowship covenant breakers. Imagine families training their children to be faithful, loyal, humble, and sacrificial covenant-keepers!
