For the first time in American history, more people celebrate Halloween than Easter. Retail outlets expect a 15% increase in sales of celebratory Halloween paraphernalia this year. Halloween's roots lodge in the Day of the Dead celebrated by pagan tribes ever since the worldwide flood. The pagan world has always been enamored by death and demons. In a darkened world, Christians should exult-with hope, joy, and faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ-in victory over the demon world. This should happen every Sunday in your church.
