Disillusioned with this Church Thing
Vast numbers of Americans are disillusioned with the church thing. Anne Graham Lotz (Billy Graham's daughter) is pretty fed up with it, and has written a book questioning the viability of church for Christians. In the immortal words of the folk musician, Don Williams, "I don't believe that heaven waits, for only those who congregate. . ."
These are pretty important questions in a world where family, faith, and community are fast disintegrating. Kevin Swanson gets down the basics in this program. What is a Christian? Does the church play into it at all? Whatever happened to Christian love and brotherhood in an indvidualized society where the faith was boiled down to an inner experience between me and Jesus?
