War in Western Culture – A Failing Biblical Worldview

September 3, 2021

The west is in the fight of their lives for control over culture and what goes on in media, and a Christian world view isn't even in the running. Bill Jack and Kevin Swanson discuss this deep disparity when it comes to a Biblical worldview in the movies and tv shows produced in the western world. Are too many Christians today purely ignorant of a Biblical worldview or are they fooled by the movies that appeal to our deepest emotions?

This is the retelling of the most exciting story in all of human history. Something truly remarkable occurred when Jesus Christ rose from the dead and gave His disciples a great commission. The world would never be the same again. Kevin Swanson takes the reader through the 2,000 year worldwide saga of this epochal mission to the world. From Judea to Rome, Ireland, Denmark, China, Japan, Uganda, New Zealand, and to the uttermost parts of the earth, the light of Christ shines into the darkness, transforming every nation throughout the centuries.

Despite all the efforts on the part of worldview ministries like ours, America has moved pro-evolution just in the last 10 years. The substantial progress is attributed to college-level indoctrination (and the failure of conservative evangelical Christianity). What a tragedy that so many pseudo-intellectual, seminary, and university-trained Christians collapse to the pseudo-science and the insanity of the Darwinian hypothesis! God has given them all up to a debased mind. But why do Christian leaders cower when it comes to opposing the world? Why is there such failure to engage the worldview war with pastors in the church?

Our children love to read, but how do we handle fiction, fantasy, and sci fi? Kevin Swanson interviews Chuck Black, the author of the Kingdom Series, Knight Series, and Wars of the Realm trilogy. Some helpful hints here on one makes a good story, good character development, and the right worldview.

The question is posed to us concerning classical education and Greek philosophy. While some hope that the resurgence of classical schools will save Western civilization, we suggest something different. Does a return to the Greeks constitute a good trajectory in the long run, or a bad trajectory (especially for our children)? And what will sustain a remnant, save a civilization, or at the least provide a good foundation for our families? Discipleship. The Jesus Approach. Let’s go with it!

James White, Todd Friel, and Douglas Wilson disagree on what to do with the mandated COVID shots, masks, etc. Should you just submit to the government and get the shot? Or, grab a fake vaccine ID card and be done with it? There are multiple conscience issues at stake here, from the aborted fetal cell line problem to other 6th commandment violations. But what happens when your job is on the line? Were the Hebrew midwives commended for their faith, even after lying to the Pharaoh and his bureaucrats?

What does the Bible say about imperialism, empire building, and nation building? Why is isolationism and focusing more upon our own sins (than how Islam nations are sinning) would be a more humble approach? The Pride of Empire assumes we are the all-righteous ones who can bring justice to the world. We kill 57% of our babies. . . and then get upset when the Muslims oppress women. The West is humbled. America is humbled. Now Christians and conservatives need to reassess the direction of this nation, and the business of civil government.

How do movies soaking in a nihilist worldview with ample quantities of profanities and "f-words" gain so many recommendations from Christian pastors and Christian movie reviewers? Coming highly recommended by a Christian reviewer, Mr. Nathan Robertson, are the homosexual film "Moonlight," "Mad Max-Fury Road," and "Pig"—all R-rated films. It doesn't take a genius to turn just about any movie scene or symbol into an analogy for Jesus and His redemption. How is this movie Pig, "one of the most subtly theological films of the year?" Analyzing the actual movie screenplay, we sum up the Mad Max and Pig worldviews, and then challenge the whole Christian entertainment scene to discernment. Correction: The program mistakenly attributed a Top 50 list to a Mr. Wiley, and should have attributed the Top 50 list to another reviewer, Mr. Nathan Robertson.

The Johnson and Johnson was derived from Aborted Fetal Tissue. But also, the mRNA shots were tested using Aborted Fetal Tissue. The Pfizer and BioNTech jabs were protein tested using the abortion-derived cell line HEK-293. The Moderna shot was protein tested using the abortion-derived cell line HEK-293. The Astra-zeneca, and Vaxart, and Sputnik shots were tested using the abortion-derived cell line HEK-293 as well. Should Christians avail themselves to this brave new world, ethically debauched science? And how much of this is food offered to idols, sold in the shambles? Before taking the jab, listen to this interview with a California church that has taken exemption on the aborted-fetal tissue issue.

Both homeschools and Christian schools sign up for government bennies. . . and then they find themselves governed by a new set of rules. If you're within the system, can you buck the system? If you're outside the system, do you stay outside the system so you are not governed by the system? These two questions come into play on this edition of the program. And these issues are becoming more relevant every day—with masks, LGBT, pronouns, and COVID shots converging on the modern family.

There is a myth going around holding that secularism is good and Islam is bad. Secular governments are good and Islamic governments are bad, because secular governments are neutral and religion-free. Actually, secularism is a religion, and Christians are the patsies when it comes to buying into this myth. Secularism has its own metaphysic and ethic. Man is at the center, and the state is ultimate for this religion. What about Al Mohler's distinction between religion and secularism?

The Imperialists. The Communists. The Taliban. Fox News and CNN keep asking us, “Whose side are you on?” Harking back to Rambo III and James Bond, we remember when we were all supposed to be on the side of the Pashtun-Taliban people. So, whose side are we supposed to be on? The Pharisees or the Sadducees? Christians must be careful about these state issues in which we’re supposed to find the better of two evils. But what is to be done about the injustices in the world, and the constant flow of evil dictators that seem to ooze out of these non-Christian nations? The Scriptures provide us the definition of the wicked and righteous, and that line of antithesis is to be maintained, no matter what.
