Senate to Approve Female Draft - Exiting the Post-Christian Military

August 12, 2021

A post-Christian world and a disintegrating civilization is best described as that in which women become life-takers, rather than life-givers. But, in a post-Christian society, Christians will find themselves conscientiously objecting and adjusting cultural points of engagement. Where Christians have failed to impact culture when it comes to abortion, homosexuality, and civil government, is it possible that they might still plant gardens and seek the peace of the city?

While the world is madly redistributing the wealth and grabbing for everybody else's money, what are Christians doing to reinstate biblical charity? Davy Crockett's famous story "Not Yours to Give" introduces an important lesson to this world. Here is a wonderful example of how Christians can constructively plant gardens in the ashes of socialist tyrannies and deconstructed societies.

According to George Barna’s America’s Worldview Inventory, a person’s worldview (the lens through which they see and understand the world) is solidified by age 13. Although someone’s worldview may change or adjust throughout their life, the overwhelming majority of Americans have their worldview in place before high school, with little to no change afterward. Barna’s research shows that today only 6% of American adults hold a biblical worldview. Even more troubling is the finding that only 21% of those who regularly attend evangelical churches have a biblical worldview—despite the fact that 81% think they do. Guest host Adam McManus interviews David Closson, the Director for The Center for Biblical Worldview at Family Research Council about his column entitled The Duty of Parents in Education. God has clearly outlined parents’ responsibility for their children. When Moses was passing down the law of God to the people of Israel at Mount Sinai, God commanded parents: “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” (Deut. 6:6-7) By issuing these commands to parents, God made them ultimately responsible for educating and instilling a biblical worldview in their children.

With Carrie Underwood featured by the Gaithers, some are wondering about the LGBT creep into soft evangelicalism. At what point have we tipped into Baal worship and outright off-the-rails apostasy? We answer listener questions about Church revival and faux revivals. Does Hillsong and Bethel constitute an amazing revival in the worldwide church? What would real revival actually look like?

On this edition of the Generations program, Kevin Swanson and Adam McManus discuss Francis Collins and his belief in theistic evolution. Do we trust God or science more, and how does that affect the decisions we make in this life? They also discuss the PRRI survey on the issue of the vaccine.

We’ve come a long way from Roy Rogers, to Disney 2021 and the almost omnipresent homosexual indoctrination in every program and motion picture produced for the kids. America was not all bad. There was a Christian influence that seeped into the folk culture, especially in Western music and movies. Roy Roger especially is known for his outspoken Christian testimony. But what of the morality plays, without any real testimony to Christ? Children’s entertainment was often laced with morals, but no Christ.

When she lived the lesbian lifestyle, Rosaria Butterfield didn’t think she was all that bad. Sin just didn’t look like sin. But then, that’s the way it is with all of us. Then she repented, and her perspective concerning everything changed . . . radically. Kevin Swanson interviews Rosaria Butterfield on her new book, as well as the importance of repentance, identity, homophobia, community, and the power of grace.

What remains of big evangelicalism is splitting wide open over whether it's okay to vote for Joe Biden and the Democrat party. We take a look at David Platt's recent book "Before You Vote," specially prepared for the 2020 election. Was this why Biden was elected? Long-standing conservative strongholds—John Piper's Bethlehem Baptist Church and Platt's Mclean Bible Church—are choking on humanist ethics and social justice, etc. The law of God would have been helpful.

The force of the zeitgeist as it affects Critical Race Theory, the COVID shot, social justice, homosexuality, etc. is intense. Hardly any departure from the party line is tolerated now. But now, kids are cancelling their parents, and the problem is everywhere. What is this social media influence doing to our kids? Do you really want to plug them into the social media machine, etc.?

In court case after court case Christians have been losing ground in religious liberty. Colorado has served as the battle ground state. . . the battle line for so many skirmishes. And we have lost. So what's the strategy now? They came for the baker. They came for the flower shop. They came for the photographer. And then they came for the pastors. And then they came for me. Is there faith left to fight these battles, especially when the pressure is so great on the Republican appointees to the court? The best strategy is to: get loud. Preach it from the housetops. And dust off your feet, and move on to the next town or the next state when they persecute you.

Hardly anybody’s watching the Emmys, NFL, Olympics, NBA, etc. compared to ten years ago. Universities, Hollywood, Boy Scouts. . . everything is collapsing on top of LGBT, Woke, CRT, and the rest of it. We’re almost losing track of everything that is falling apart. Who wants to root for this nation at the Olympics anymore? Conservatives have their beef with the liberal agenda. Liberals are embarrassed of their country. We take another look at the national pride, the Star-Spangled Banner, and gratefulness for God’s gifts.
