Monica O'Connor and her husband Eddie have not only homeschooled their 6 children, ranging in age from 28 down to 6, but they have also fostered 22 children over the last 10 years. Through their sacrificial foster care ministry, they came to the attention of the authorities who threatened to fine them $4,000 for not sending their children to government schools. When they refused to pay the fine, Monica was imprisoned in September, 2014 and her husband spent time in jail in late October.
