How to stop the Transgender Train - What you can do to speak up for women’s sports

June 4, 2021

Guest host Adam McManus interviews Brad Dacus, President of the Pacific Justice Institute, about why the Christian legal rights group advocated on May 26th for two Wisconsin bills (AB 195 and AB 196) which would prohibit biological men, pretending to be women, from competing on women’s high school and college athletic teams.

To urge Wisconsin Democrat Governor Tony Evers to sign these bills into law, call 608-266-1212.

Ray Hacke, the Pacific Justice Institute attorney who testified before the Wisconsin legislature, has covered women's sports as a journalist and coaches his daughter in softball and basketball.

Hacke explained, “Since Title IX's passage in 1972, courts all over the country have made abundantly clear that because girls are typically at a physiological disadvantage when competing against boys, letting boys compete in girls' sports would relegate girls to being runners-up, benchwarmers, or spectators in their own sports. That would effectively deny them an equal opportunity to compete and undermine Title IX's purpose completely!”

Plus, he has already testified before legislatures in North Dakota, South Dakota, Missouri and Montana – either in person or via videoconferencing – and has advised lawmakers in Arkansas, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and West Virginia concerning their women's sports bills.

Genesis 1:27 declares, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”

Guest host Adam McManus interviews Dr. Owen Strachan -- pronounced STRAN -- who, along with Dr. George Barna, just launched The Center for Biblical Worldview at Family Research Council. Dr. Strachan currently serves as Provost and Research Professor of Theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary in Conway, Arkansas. And he’s former president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. The Center for Biblical Worldview has released a new, national survey regarding the state of worldview in America. The objective of the survey was to provide original, research-based insights about how many people possess a Biblical worldview; if and to what extent they seek to integrate that worldview into every dimensions of their life; what influences have helped them to do so; and whether they believe that such integration matters to God. According to the survey, 80% of born-again Christians claim to have a Biblical worldview. But, according to dozens of worldview questions, only 19% actually do! Dr. Strahan said, “If Christians do not form a biblical worldview in evil days like these, they represent sitting ducks. But when believers are trained by churches and other strengthening institutions like Family Research Council to think in a distinctly Biblical way, they cease to be an easy target. They learn to think unto God, reason from the Scriptures, and proclaim the excellency of Christ in a world that hates Him.” James 5:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

Guest host Adam McManus interviews Mat Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal rights group, about their opposition to the freedom-killing vaccine passports which have been rolled out in Oregon. Democrat Governor Kate Brown has now implemented a statewide policy to require proof of COVID shots for people to enter businesses, workplaces, and churches without wearing masks. Dr. Naomi Wolf, an author and Rhodes Scholar, predicts that the vaccine passport will eventually track every aspect of people's lives and would violate the U.S. Constitution and HIPAA. She said, “This is literally the end of human liberty in the West if this plan unfolds as planned. It's not about the vaccine, it's not about the virus, it's about data. And once this rolls out you don't have a choice about being part of the system.” Mat Staver addresses: 1. Whether he believes the proposed implanted chip dovetails with the mark of the Beast found in Revelation 13:17. 2. How Bill Gates, a well-known eugenics advocate, plays a role in vaccine passports. 3. The importance of getting educated at LC.org/vaccine and speaking out. 4. Why Christians can have hope that God will heal our land and restore our freedom.

Guest host Adam McManus concludes his 2-part interview with Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Pastor Emeritus of The Moody Church in Chicago, who has written a new book entitled We Will Not Be Silenced! Responding Courageously to Our Culture’s Assault on Christianity. (Listen to Part 1 here) Dr. Lutzer talks about: 1. The Left’s ability to promote propaganda. He cites George Orwell’s novel 1984 and the chilling totalitarian state with its “Ministry of Truth which brainwashed the people. The slogan of Oceania is “War is peace; freedom is slavery; ignorance is strength.” Listen to how he connects the dots to us today. 2. The sexualization of the children. He points to the fact that in 2004, Pew Research polls showed 60% of Americans opposed homosexual faux marriage. Today only 40% oppose it. He explains to what he attributes that dramatic change. 3. How radical secularists have joined with radical Islamists to fight, side by side, against Christianity in America. 4. The key to Saul Alinsky’s success, as Marxist community organizer in Chicago, was to shut people down with direct, personalized criticism and ridicule instead of debating ideas. 5. The compelling passage in Revelation 3 in which Jesus confronted the church of Sardis. His message is something the American church desperately needs to hear today.

Our culture today considers biblical faith an expression of bigotry and hatred, yet resorts to shaming and pressure tactics to enforce its secularist views. How do you witness for Christian beliefs without being intimidated into silence? And how can believers respond with truth, gentleness, and Christ-like love, showing compassion and not compliance or conformity?  Guest host Adam McManus interviews Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Pastor Emeritus of The Moody Church in Chicago, who has written a new book entitled We Will Not Be Silenced! Responding Courageously to Our Culture's Assault on Christianity. Lutzer will: examine “cultural Marxism,” which curbs free speech, increases government control, grows racial conflict, is hostile toward Christianity, and destroys the nuclear family.discuss this Leftist notion of rewriting the past to control the future.talk about Saul Alinsky, a well-known Marxist from Chicago who wrote Rules for Radicals. The Left wants to use diversity to divide and destroy.address whether he sees any similarities in the American church today and the German church which did not rise up in opposition to the propaganda of the Third Reich.

Guest host Adam McManus interviews Kristen Hardin, the author of a new Christian children’s book entitled Miss Mary: A Tale of Old County Clare. Too often, those in their twilight years no longer feel valued. God created each of us, including the elderly, in His image. Sadly, our culture has become increasingly hostile to the elderly. Kristen Hardin underscores not only the value of senior citizens, but also the importance of the body of Christ ministering to them in their need. Based on Kristen’s grandmothers, Alice Hammer and Ruth Greenwood, she was inspired to create the fictional Miss Mary in County Clare, Ireland who is busy doing things for other people. But what happens when she's the one who needs a helping hand? This sweet story seeks to warm hearts and share truths about giving and receiving. In addition to getting to know her two grandmothers, you’ll learn about Kristen’s childhood, salvation, love of family, and how she got to know her husband.

Guest host Adam McManus concludes his fascinating conversation with Claire Culwell, a young woman who survived her birth mother’s abortion. After Claire discovers the truth of her birth story, watch how God empowers this died-in-the-wool introvert to share her remarkable testimony in front of abortion mills, in speeches to concerned citizens to a crowd of 20,000 people in New York Times Square, and before millions on Fox & Friends. Perhaps most amazingly, Claire providentially becomes best friends with Abby Johnson, who aborted two of her children and was the one-time Planned Parenthood Director in College Station, Texas. After participating in an ultrasound-guided abortion, Johnson left the abortion industry, became a pro-life advocate, got married, and is now raising eight children. Her life is featured in the book and movie entitled Unplanned. Claire’s own unplanned pregnancy puts her pro-life convictions to the test. It’s all recorded in her book Survivor: An Abortion Survivor's Surprising Story of Choosing Forgiveness and Finding Redemption. One thing becomes clear: what the Devil meant for evil, God turned to good.

Claire Culwell, a young woman who miraculously survived the abortion that should have killed her, shares her remarkable story with guest host Adam McManus. Raised in a loving adoptive home, Claire, at the age of 21, decided to meet her birth mother. She was in for the shock of her life! Her birth mother, Tonya, confessed that when she was pregnant with Claire at the age of 13, she’d gone to an abortion mill. Listen to part 1 of a two-part conversation based on Claire’s new book entitled Survivor: An Abortion Survivor’s Surprising Story of Choosing Forgiveness and Finding Redemption. Lila Rose, president of Live Action -- which does undercover investigative videos of abortion mills -- said, “Claire’s heart-wrenching and inspiring story is exactly what our world needs today.”

Hebrews 13:3 instructs us not to forget those who are in chains. Persecution is heating up all across the globe, and is perhaps the most intense we have seen since the times of the reformation. The Chinese persecution is no exception, with Pastor Wang Yi now having been in prison for two years and counting. Pastor Steve Hopkins joins us on this edition of the program to discuss the issue of the Chinese persecution and that which could be coming to all of us around the world. Visit chinapersecution.org to find out more about Pastor Wang Yi's story, teaching, and updates.

Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss culture in this edition of Generations. What was really behind the eventual outcomes of Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges? Was it the Supreme Court or the universities? Ultimately, these decisions came about because of the cultural zeitgeist, and the power that JK Rowling, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Lady Gaga, etc. have had over millions of young people. Movies and music have a way of desensitizing people to sin and ratcheting it up until there is nothing more to be desensitized to.

Kevin Swanson and Bill Jack discuss the abortion case that has now gone to the US Supreme Court, as well as the shifts in American culture and government over the past 20-30 years. As we now face an increasingly anti-Christian culture, they ask the question: How should we respond?
