Colleges have lost 3.5 million students in the last ten years — that's like the closure of 200 large state universities (4 per state). The entire educational-economic complex is turned on its head. Do we still need to "save" for our children's college education? Or is it time for us to wake up and realize we are in a different world now? It's a whole new game, but how do we invest? What now? 

One of the most important evangelical cultural leaders in America campaigns for pro-abortion candidates in Georgia. These actions were critical in Georgia, and may have served to shift power in the Western world towards promoting an anti-Christian worldview. Lecrae explains his reasoning in a video just released, which we carefully consider from a Christian worldview perspective. Is government responsible for changing the environment, eliminating poverty and thereby “decreasing crime?” Or is government responsible for punishing murder? Bad theology and bad anthropology will produce bad public policy and bad everything else.

We're witnessing a historic moment as the balance of powers is shifting in America. The agenda advances. But are the protests counter-productive, futile, and disempowering for the other side? Our agenda for change cannot come by short-cuts and revolutions. Here, we observe several things from a president who has lost support from. . .well. . .just about everybody in the world. We are left with the same basic need - men of integrity, real faith, and courage to lead our communities in the years to come.

One of the most troublesome questions for many non-Christians and Christians is the question of the canon of Scripture. How do we know which books should constitute the Word of God? On what basis would we reject the Book of Enoch or Second Macabees? Cotton Mather. Edward Jenner. Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, discoverer of the X Ray. Raymond Damadian, discoverer of the MRI machine. And what did the humanists bring to medical science in the later 20th century? The birth control pill. The humanists have killed billions. But Christians, the followers of the Great Physician from Galilee, have saved the lives of billions with the discoveries of anesthesia, insulin, vaccines, antibiotics, germ theory, and the Xray and the MRI.

It was a big year. The world economy took the biggest hit in 140 years. It was the biggest year of transitions in a century, the biggest year for socialism since the 1930s, the biggest year for anarchy on the streets, the biggest year for the American church, and the biggest year for disease in about a century. It was the year Babylon fell. It was the year of fear. . . but where was the fear of God? It was the year God shook the world. Here’s the Generations annual Year in Review.
