Men and women have been asking this question for generations. For some people the answer to this question would have saved them a lot of heartache, money, and wasted time. There have been many books and articles written addressing this very topic. Mothers and fathers have been telling their children and grandchildren the so called, "Best Way". But if the truth be told the question has been directed to the wrong people. When you need to know how to work a particular device you usually read the instructions from the manufacturer of the product. Well, if you want to know how to choose the right spouse you should ask the inventor of marriage. God Almighty created marriage and gives us clear instructions in the Holy Bible. Observe:
And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. Genesis 2:18-22
Notice what Adam was doing. He was busy doing the business that God had given him. God noticed he was lonely, and God made him a wife. Adam wasn't looking at pornography everyday and wishing he had some real life sex object. He wasn't checking out his best friend's wife and coveting their relationship. He wasn't smoking and drinking everyday and needed a change so he decided he would get married. He didn't have 3 or 4 kids out of wedlock and needed a mother for his kids. He wasn't so broke that he couldn't pay his rent so he needed a woman to flip the rest of the bill. He wasn't living with his mama and needed a way out. Adam was busy doing the assignment that God had given him and God rewarded him with a help meet because God loved him.
The answer to the question is; YOU DON'T CHOOSE A SPOUSE. GOD GIVES HER TO YOU!
If you notice I am talking about men receiving a wife. The reason is because God gives the woman to the man. Not the other way around. Ladies, all you need to be doing is staying pure, doing the will of God, and keeping yourself gift wrapped for the man God is preparing to receive you. God bless all the readers of this Blog and do yourself a favor and your children a favor and Pray and ask God to send you the spouse that he will have you marry and ask him to make it crystal clear who they are. Lastly, Marriage is the union of a Man and a Woman…not two men or two women. God created marriage therefore he defined what and who it was designed for.
