Ask someone on the street the following question:  “Do you think you’re on your way to heaven?”  Many will no doubt reply, “Well I hope so!”  They might even say, “Well I’ve never murdered anyone, and I’ve been a fairly good person.”  Such reasoning indicates that they’re under the impression that good works save us.  And maybe that’s what you believe today.
