Anyone who’s lived a while knows that no matter how careful we are, no matter how much planning we do, we’re going to go through some trials in life. What’s your first reaction when trials come? Today as we look at Acts chapter twelve, we’ll see what happened to Peter when he was arrested, and his friends started praying for him.

Jesus is truly the good Shepherd but is He your Shepherd? Psalm twenty-three is no doubt one of the best-loved texts in the entirety of Scripture. It describes how we can come under the Shepherds care! We are like sheep and sheep need a shepherd. It’s why we are always in need. The Lord knows, and He is close at hand in His care of us.

Today we pause to celebrate God’s greatness and glory! Trust is something we really can’t live without. We have to trust our fellow motorists to not cross the centerline and hit us. We have to trust the doctor to know the right method to treat what’s wrong with us. Do you trust God? We’ll be looking today at Psalms nineteen and twenty.
