Today we bring you Al’s final message in his verse by verse series through Colossians. If you summed up this letter, it would be a loving warning to the church of Colossi that they had strayed from the true gospel and were more interested in philosophy and “higher thought” than the real message of repentance and salvation through Christ. We’ve been traveling through the Book of Acts and today we’ll enter into a study of chapters twenty-seven and twenty-eight, the last two chapter of Acts. In our last time together, we read about the Apostle Paul’s shipwreck off the coast of Malta. We saw that, despite the challenges, Paul didn’t let his circumstances derail him from his true focus, sharing the love of Christ!

For the last couple of broadcasts, Al has been discussing Husbands and Wives, and today we’re going to move along to the other members of the family - the kids. Children are a real blessing - and a real challenge. But God knows what’s best when it comes to raising Godly children. I think we can all testify to the fact that there are a lot of parents out there who could really use a refresher course in raising kids properly.

Wives submitting to their husbands has been a controversial subject for as long as people have been reading these verses. The only reason there’s any controversy is that people have consistently misinterpreted what Paul’s meaning is. Let’s get to the heart of the matter of Godly submission for husbands and wives.
