Today we zero in on Romans nine, which details Israel’s unbelief and God’s sovereignty in election. The sovereignty of God is something that a lot of people don’t completely understand. But when we understand that God does indeed hold everything and everyone in His hands, it should be a source of great comfort!

God is big. God is powerful. God created everything, and knows everything. Yet, one of the more amazing aspects of having a relationship with God is coming to grips with the fact that the Creator of the universe, Almighty God Himself, is in fact a very personal God and loves each of us individually with an everlasting love. God’s love is greater than our minds can grasp, but can anything separate us from it? That’s the question as we head back to Romans.

It’s rich with insights on living a life pleasing to God, and that should always be the goal of the Christian. And within Romans is the amazing chapter eight - a chapter that has so many rich assurances for the believer, it’s difficult comprehend it’s awesomeness! Today we’ll continue our look at chapter eight of Romans as we study verses twelve through eighteen.

We’re studying Romans chapter eight right now, and today we’ll make a return visit to the first several verses. This is a wonderful chapter in that it reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we have nothing to fear as far as our eternal future is concerned. He paid the price for us on the cross and no matter how badly we foul things up, he’s there waiting for us. And we will find out today, how to be a “Par” Christian!
