Most missionaries would tell you that it doesn’t take an extraordinary person to be a missionary - it takes a calling of God upon your life. This would be true of the Apostle Paul and we’ll look to Acts sixteen today as we continue to glean insights from his second missionary journey.

Paul and Barnabas had a disagreement in Acts fifteen, they departed from each other and went their separate ways. At first glance, this seems like a very unfortunate incident - until you realize that God suddenly had two missionary teams spreading the Gospel instead of just one.

We’re making our way through the Book of Acts right now and today we’ll focus our attention on chapters fifteen and sixteen. We’ll see that the Lord used Paul to lead people to salvation, but Paul also recognized the importance of following Jesus’ model of discipleship. Jesus poured Himself into twelve men who, in turn, poured themselves into the world.
