You’re familiar, I’m sure, with the old expression “what goes around comes around”. That’s exactly what we’re seeing here in Revelation eighteen. The antichrist and the false prophet and those who have chosen to follow them have had their day in the sun, so to speak, and now it’s time to bring this terrible chapter in human history to a close. Jesus Christ is preparing to return to the earth to reign over it for a thousand years, but first the Godless city of Babylon must be destroyed.

There are only two real religions in this world - the kind made by man, and the kind made by God - Christianity. As we study Revelation seventeen today, keep that in mind, because as we see the judgment of Mystery Babylon, we see the results of mankind's decision to follow and worship the antichrist instead of Jesus Christ. Anytime we take our eyes off of God and put them on ourselves, we’re in trouble, and such is the case as God judges the world and destruction follows.

It’s another sign that we’re living in the last days, and today we’ll begin a look at Revelation chapter seventeen and the continuing judgment of man by God during the tribulation period.

In history there have been some memorable battles,  but the battle of Armageddon will out strip every one of them for destruction and bloodshed. Satan is fighting his last fight, and although he knows he must lose, he fights on. After this battle comes the final destruction of the earth.

Our journey through Revelation is nearing the point of the Grand Finale, and Pastor Al Pittman has set aside the next two broadcasts as a way to introduce it to Revelation chapter fifteen.  It is the shortest chapter in all of Revelation, but it is here that we read an introduction to the final outpouring of God’s judgment upon the earth. Now while this in an ominous chapter, Al says we must not miss the hope, joy and singing that is here too.
