Young Voters Are Needed Now More Than Ever Part 2

October 18, 2018

In our previous program we mentioned that in the 2016 presidential election 50% of the entire voting population was composed by millennials. Why is it important to vote, especially if you fall within a crucial age demographic? Let us look at some of the reasons that young voters are needed more than ever in local, state, and national elections.

In today’s program we are going to focus on our youth and how vital they are in our country, in our culture and in our world. The youth are precious in the eyes of God. Many of the Bible characters that were used of God to accomplish great and mighty things were very young in age. Regardless of your age you are able to do a great work in this world. God chooses to use people of all ages to accomplish His purposes.

It is said that "Every nation gets the government it deserves." This is exactly right given that it is God who sets up kings and takes down kings as he evaluates the spiritual and moral status of a people. If it is God who ultimately decides this, then, why vote? That is a very good question, which we will endeavor to better understand.

In the book of Acts the tremendous suffering the early Christians endured is recorded along with great and mighty interventions of the power of God. There is one powerful spiritual weapon that Chinese Christians are using very effectively and that is the amount of time they are spending in prayer, but not for their suffering but for their country. Let us pray for all Christians around the world daily because the faith of all of us is constantly tested.

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him" (James 1:12). One of the most famous periods of persecution of Christians is in the Roman Empire, which occurred on and off over a period of over two centuries. Let us reflect on that first period of Christian persecution under Nero in 64 A.D. Each generation of believers faces difficulties, and we must learn to rise to the challenge.

"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good" (Psalm 14:1). The Chinese government is perpetrating horrendous atrocities to reinstate the full force of their Communist ideology. They have not yet learned that God cannot be erased or eradicated from the hearts of humans.

The persecution of Christians has been a fact of life from the outset and we see this in the lives of the first century Christians. The persecution of Christians in China never really went away altogether, but it is rapidly escalating once again under the regime of President Xi. Chinese Christians find themselves in a renewed effort to limit their faith and there's reporting that it is even worse than during the cultural revolution under the Mao regime.

In our previous program we gave illustrations of the concepts Jesus used to teach and reveal what the kingdom of heaven is like. Clearly the theme of Jesus’s teachings was the kingdom of God. And he preached the requirement to experience it—REPENT! What is real repentance? Is it just to turnover a new leaf on life? If we could do real repentance on our own, then we wouldn’t need Jesus and the Holy Spirit. For true repentance to occur there must be a resolve.

Whether people like it or not, this Gospel, which reveals the kingdom of God and his righteousness is here to stay and will not be altered. Jesus’s earthly ministry was centered on teaching about the kingdom of God. Very frequently in his teachings he used parables and illustrations and he prefaced them by saying, “the kingdom of God is like…” Let us understand what the purpose for life is so we can understand the part we play in it.

The distortion of the Gospel is very offensive to God. When people feel shame, they feel threatened and become hostile in their efforts to defend themselves instead of humbly accepting God’s truth and changing evil ways. When the body of Christ arrives to this very point of not being ashamed of the full Gospel of God and embracing it wholeheartedly, we will see another biblical reformation explode upon the face of the earth.

Believers should “be wise as serpents and innocent as doves” (Matt. 10:16). The only protection we have against being gullible and easily led astray is to be equipped with the knowledge of God, and to grow into the stature of the fullness of Christ. Not by words BUT by actions. Why are there so many interpretations of the same portions? Let the Scriptures interpret he Scriptures with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
