The Goal is to Become One Part 8

June 1, 2017

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34. Sin always grows, that is its natural process in human behavior. Everything reproduces according to its kind generation after generation. Every generation has the option to continue to repeat the same mistakes or take the route in the right direction according to God. Do you like the direction your life and the nation are on? If not, what will you do about it?

At this point, we should extend our understanding of how the Bible defines apostasy since it is a topic that requires good understanding by all of God’s people. Jeremiah 2:19 (ESV) "Your evil will chastise you, and your apostasy will reprove you. Know and see that it is evil and bitter for you to forsake the Lord your God the fear of me is not in you, declares the Lord God of hosts." Is this describing Christian America at present? If there is no change, what awaits us?

God’s people should never be discouraged because of evil as if evil cannot be defeated. Be careful! This is not according to a person who has the mind of Christ. Being a churchgoer is not enough. The New Testament is full of instructions unmasking men and women pretending to be in Christ and falsely being part of a fellowship of believers. However, if the life is not being transformed in Christ there's no fruit, therefore no evidence of being in Christ.

Lack of identity generates many conflicts. How should one live? What do we build upon? The person who is called a Christian by name alone can never produce the fruit of Christ in his life. They pretend to be authentic but they are not. The words of Jesus leave no room for misunderstanding that the Father makes a clear contrast between those who produce His kind of fruit from those who do not pass His quality control.

To become one with God and other believers we must be transformed into the fullness of the new life in Christ, which requires constant cutting away of ideas or thoughts that are contrary to God’s (Read Isa. 55). That is what John 15 calls God's pruning. This cutting away is painful because we have to die to the old self that controlled our lives. God, our Father, loves us and knows our potential in Christ, so He applies his discipline in love. Should we reject or refuse God's loving discipline?

Throughout history, God’s people are destroyed because of their lack of knowledge. If God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are in our life, what kind of people should we be? We should be exceptional! Knowing the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit produces a transformational life that is impossible to experience otherwise. If the majority of the people in the U.S. claim to be Christian, why are we not more united?

Are all the discrepancies of doctrines and views in Christianity correct in their interpretation? If so, why do they contradict each other? Or, is there only one that is correct? Perhaps none of them is biblically correct. Discussion on the topics with different perspectives is needed in the body of Christ as a step that can lead us to unity through a biblical Reformation. After two thousand years of doctrinal division, and one major biblical Reformation that began in 1517, this should signal the urgency of walking in one accord with the full counsel of God's revealed truth.

The greatest force for good in the world is God’s chosen people, when they live according to God’s ways and carry out their God-given commission; historically they are key to the only true social stability and progress. The lack of positive social impact weakens the effectiveness of Christianity; this is not to say there is no evidence of good works, it is also true that without the influence of Biblical Christianity the world would be in a far worse state.

Before the two World Wars, there were those who stated the signs were not those of the end of the world. Fact, every generation deals with two eschatological perspectives: those who are convinced they are living in the last days and those who claim the end of the world was not near nor will it end in a cataclysm. God is in control of His ultimate plan and He can reset history by allowing a WWIII—the time clock is the moral condition.

It is always about God's morality and He gives us the liberty to accept or reject His principles for right living. But we should never forget the judgment against Noah’s generation. With the flood, God’s plan was not to eliminate humanity, He has the perfect plan and will complete it, and no one can alter it. He simply judged Noah’s generation's evil behavior and the same could happen to us.

The speculation of the last days for planet earth is nothing new in history. The end times alarm is sounded as recurrences of terrible events manifest. In the circles of secularism, as well as in Christian circles, and the occult, we find different scenarios related to the end of the world. We need to understand how their thinking is adapted to fit their view every cycle that disrupts global stability. Every person needs to arrive at an acceptable conclusion that can be corroborated.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
