The Deathtrap of Relativism Part 5

December 11, 2017

Our pluralistic society wants to avoid the idea that there really is a right and wrong. Except, every human being in the world has an inborn knowledge of God and his law. Following God’s principles is really not complicated only IF we do not want to live life his way. Let us determine to learn all about God’s principles for right living, then live them and teach to them to those around us and fight to establish them in our society.

Some typical expressions that reveal an underlying presupposition of relativism are comments such as: "That is your truth, not mine;" "It is true for you, but not for me;" and "There are no absolute truths." Society cannot flourish nor survive in an environment where everyone does what is right in his own eyes. If all things are relative, then there cannot be anything that is absolutely true. The created world operates under absolutes.

The truth is seared into mankind's heart. It is impossible to get away from the conviction of wrongdoing. Some choose to ignore it, while others take heed. Human beings have the freedom of choice to listen to or disobey God, but they cannot live free of the effects. Actions have consequences.

It is certainly no secret that biblical morality is being ushered out of American social structures and off the cultural main stage. It is becoming so pervasive that if you speak out against moral relativism and its "anything goes" philosophy, you're labeled as an intolerant bigot. But, where is the standard?

It is imperative that we understand this philosophical position. Those of this persuasion have worked with long-range goals and have been very successful. This mindset is even in the churches of America. Why do we need absolutes anyway? Join us as we explore this topic and find answers to this troubling trend.

The church is fighting its greatest enemy from within: humanism. In a day and age where relativism is so prevalent the church is not immune to it. It is vital that every believer experience first hand the knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that comes from God's Word. 2 Timothy 4:1-4 reinforces this need.

So, you say you're a Christian. Now what? What does your life look like? Do you know what a new life in Christ means? Be honest and evaluate your life in the light of Scripture and not according to what people say you should be or do. God is faithful and the Holy Spirit will lead you to all truth if you're willing to put in the work.

To understand the impact of the Gospel on the world, let's go back to the first century church and see how they impacted their culture. We are all building a worldview. The question is: where are we getting the values from to build that worldview.

In Genesis, God's message of love, salvation, and restoration was first uttered giving the fallen human race a living hope. However, there are conditions to receiving and keeping this deliverance from the control of sin.

God is speaking, but are we listening. Everything is based on God's morality and ethics. We were given a free will to choose between good and evil. The choices we make affect our outcome. Join us as we learn how to listen to what God has to say.

God has always had a body of believers committed to his Word. What part do we play in the church today? In a time where there are many accommodating churches, do we know we are in the right church? The great commission has not changed, and it is up to his people to reflect God's will on earth as it is in heaven.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
