Nonsense - Jesus did not Promote Mysticism, Part 4

April 9, 2015
Does the Bible support the practice of "Christian mysticism"? Mysticism is not the experience of a Christian. Christian doctrine maintains that God dwells in all Christians and that they can experience God directly through belief in Jesus, Christian mysticism aspires to apprehend spiritual truths inaccessible through intellectual means. The Bible tells us that Christ-likeness is achieved only by dying to self - not by self-effort - and that spiritual truth is discerned as guided by the indwelling Holy Spirit, who lives in all believers and He strictly adheres to Scripture. Do not be deceived! Study to show yourself approved.

Human intellect can never comprehend the meaning of life, the world, and Christ's redemption for humanity which includes all of God's creation. To be Christ-like we must deny ourselves; we trade the old for the new but never to pursue a mystical experience. If we want to experience God we must live out the life. "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." Matthew 16:24

There is in the human heart a yearning to know God; our Creator... the problem has been how to get to that place of uncontaminated knowledge of Him. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me.
And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children," Hosea 4:6.

Most Christians are desperate to find a meaningful life; they want answers to all the problems they face, including national and world problems. They are tired and confused of hearing so many contradicting doctrines. Their spiritual hunger is not satisfied and they feel their church is not leading them in an exciting life experience so they are open to anything that will thrill them, even if unknowingly it leads them to greater bondage and further away from God. What is this unbiblical trend that is infiltrating the church?

Do Christian businesses have that right to live their biblical convictions or not? Persecution against Christians in America is a reality that we must not ignore and have to confront vigorously. When a certain group of Christians are being persecuted for upholding Biblical principles by those who hate Christianity it is an attack upon all of us; we must not remain passive or tongue-tied. Every Christian business that is harassed is shedding light upon the evil deeds of human depravation.

Why is it that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act signed in Indiana is causing such a raucous from Democrats and the mainstream media when it is already the federal law and reflects religious liberty, something that the First Amendment upholds? Bill Clinton signed the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act on November 16, 1993 and it was greatly praised by liberals, even by organizations like the ACLU? Why was it a great thing then and not now?

"Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time; they therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime & pure, [and] which denounces against the wicked eternal misery, and [which] insured to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments."-- Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Signer of the Declaration of Independence.

No other worldview has the answers for a better world; only the biblical worldview provides all the answers to all human problems. When Biblical Christians begin to develop the mind of Christ and apply His revealed truth in the Holy Scriptures in all areas of life, nonbelievers and those who profess Christianity but oppose the Kingdom of God in this world in the here and now will fight back with everything they have to remain in control at all cost. When Christians determine to believe God by acting upon His commands they will be so excited to know that God's Word really works and means what it says and says what it means.

Why was it so difficult for the disciples to believe that Jesus had resurrected? It is not enough for us to read and know that the disciples had a tough time believing in the Resurrection. We must understand why the overwhelming majority of Christians today also have a tough time believing in it, and worse yet, it is a great loss for them, their families, society and future generations.

Is it possible to end violence, wars, poverty and chaos in the world? Is world peace attainable? This is something that all people and nations desire. Jesus came to answer yes to all those questions through His earthly mission of which the Resurrection is pivotal.

Not having the knowledge and understanding of God's revealed truth especially of Jesus' resurrection is devastating, and can only spell chaos. The coming and resurrection of Christ is the centerpiece of the law and the prophets. The whole nation of Israel misunderstood the prophecies and so did the disciples. Sadly, such is the case of many Christians of today.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
