Pres. Obama appointed Rosa Brooks as one of his advisors' "czars" (Advisor to Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy). Prior to this, Brooks, the daughter of a prominent DSA member, was a columnist for the LA Times, and served as Special Counsel to the President at George Soros' Open Society Institute.
