The Personal Value of God's Word

Read

But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 86:15

Reflect

Standing outside on a starry night, you cannot help but marvel at the beauty of the immense sky. The psalmist wrote, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands" (Psalm 19:1, NIV) Nature cries out, "There is a great Creator!"

God's Word takes that truth one step farther. In the Bible you learn the great Creator is compassionate, gracious, patient, loving, and faithful. He loves you and desires to know you personally and intimately. The Bible is not a textbook; it is God's love letter to His children. The heavenly Father is not only the God of heaven; He is also the God of your heart.
