There’s no question that Satan loves to deceive.  He’s been at it since the Garden.  And we can expect that to only increase in the last days.  How do we combat these lies and avoid getting lead astray?  We’d like to recommend a book from Jack Hibbs called, “Living in the Daze of Deception.”  Foreward by Mike Pompeo.  This national bestseller is available right now to our a Daily Walk listeners for the cost of just ten dollars.

If you are married, recall for a moment the days leading up to your wedding and then that special day itself.  There’s nothing quite like it.  The anticipation, the overwhelming joy and excitement!  The Lord thought it all up.  He gave us marriage to be enjoyed and as a portrait of His relationship with His bride the church.  We’ve been in the Song of Solomon lately and we’ll focus on the great anticipation of the wedding, for Solomon and the Shulamite woman.

Those of you who are engaged, or in a serious dating relationship will no doubt be able to relate to the feelings of the Shulamite woman expressed in the passage before us.  Her strong desire is to be with Solomon, but she knows it’s important to reserve physical intimacy for marriage.  See how this relates to our relationships.

Pastor John Randall will share a special message on the crucifixion of Christ and what lead up to it.  We remember today that it was some 2,000 years ago that Jesus was crucified on a Roman cross, paying the price for our sins that we might be saved.  That one loving act opened the way to heaven for you and me.  And that’s good reason to be thankful today and really every day!

Soon Christians all over the world will be recalling the great sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross, and the good news that He’s alive!  But what does this great truth mean for your life today?  Because the tomb is empty, your life no longer needs to be empty.  You can experience peace, joy, fulfillment and life everlasting.

How do you see yourself today?  Maybe like the woman we’ll meet today on a Daily Walk, you think you’re really of no value, you’re undesirable or dark! It’s helpful to stop and consider how the Lord sees us, and it’s far different than what I just described.  We are valuable to Him, and that’s amplified for us in the Song of Solomon chapter one.

One of the biggest struggles people have in relationships could be described as insecurity.  Maybe like the Shulamite woman you’ll hear about today, you’re insecure about your appearance?  What do you do about that?  Pastor John will suggest that we find our security and identity in Jesus, and focus on how the Lord sees us.

In the first few verses of the Song of Solomon the Shulamite woman is confessing her love to Solomon.  She’s basically saying there’s nothing like it, and it goes way beyond physical attraction to the inner character.  Pastor John will relate this to what we should be looking for in a spouse, but also God’s love for us!  Nothing can compare to the Lord’s love for each of us and what a timely reminder with Easter on the horizon.

Do you enjoy a good love story or love song?  Most Americans do.   But much of the time the picture that we’re given of love and romance in the world is diametrically opposed to what we find in Scripture.  Today on a Daily Walk we begin a series of studies based on the Song of Solomon.  Now if you want an accurate picture of love and romance, that’s the book to turn to!

As we study the Bible, no matter which book we read, we find a common theme, if you want to be blessed by God and walk victoriously we must trust and obey!  And at times God may put His finger on something in our lives and tell us, that needs to go!  Is there anything in your life today that needs to be driven out?  Let’s talk about that today on a Daily Walk, as we finish our journey through Numbers with pastor John Randall.
