God's Plan for Israel, Part 1

February 5, 2020

It seems like a day doesn’t go by that we don’t at the very least hear of Israel mentioned in the news.  Needless to say, many eyes are on this little nation… even God’s!  While many of the Jews have rejected their Messiah, God hasn’t forgotten them.  He has a plan for them, and that’s the focus of Romans chapter nine.

Living in the Daze of Deception
There’s no question that Satan loves to deceive.  He’s been at it since the Garden.  And we can expect that to only increase in the last days.  How do we combat these lies and avoid getting lead astray?  We’d like to recommend a book from Jack Hibbs called, “Living in the Daze of Deception.”  Foreward by Mike Pompeo.  This national bestseller is available right now to our a Daily Walk listeners for the cost of just ten dollars.

We’ve been making our way, verse by verse through the New Testament book of Romans. And chapter eight asserts God is for us. This great truth assures us that no matter what we face in life, if God is for us, we’re on the winning side.

We come to a very familiar verse today on a Daily Walk, Romans eight twenty-eight!  It reminds us that believers are in the hands of God, who in His remarkable providence works all things together for good.  But how do you really know that all things are working together for good in your life?  Maybe that seems hard to believe when the doctor says its cancer, or you have a flat tire on the side of the road.  Pastor John Randall looks into this very question today.

For the unbeliever this world is as good as it’s going to get for them, but the Christian has a glorious future to look forward to.  The next life is going to be far better than what we have now, in Christ.  And don’t you at times, wish you could hit the fast-forward button and be there already?  The wait is hard, and there is some internal frustration to go along with that.   Pastor John will set our sights on heaven, as he focuses on the blessings of the Spirit-filled life.

Maybe you’ve adopted a child or two? Obviously an adopted child will receive all the blessings and benefits that go with being apart of that particular family.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll see that Christians have been adopted into the family of God.  What exactly does that mean for you and me?  We'll find out today.

When we become a Christian we’re no longer condemned.  And a wonderful change begins to occur in our lives.  You become less like the old you and more like Christ.  This doesn’t happen in our own strength, but by the power of the Spirit of God who indwells us.  Pastor John Randall emphasizes this life of the Spirit, with part two of a message called, “No Condemnation.”

Are you living under the weight of condemnation? Maybe you’re feeling a certain heaviness as you think back on all your failures in life, or you’re experiencing the burden of trying to please God by your own efforts!  That’s where a lot of people are at today, but there is a better way.  Today on a Daily Walk we discover that if you’re in Christ, you’re no longer condemned, but loved!  And God has supplied all the power we need to live the Christian life, through His Spirit.

Even the apostle Paul experienced a battle between the flesh and the spirit.  Every believer does.  But there is a right and wrong way to fight, and today on a Daily Walk pastor John Randall shows us how to be victorious in this battle within.
January 27, 2020
At the moment of our conversion to Christ, a battle begins!  It’s a battle within us, between the flesh and the spirit.  And maybe, you feel as though the flesh is coming out on top more often than not!  Is there a way to be victorious in the battle?  I’m happy to say there is, through the strength and power of God.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll take a look at this internal war, and see how to be overcomers in Christ.

What are we to make of all of those laws on the left side of our Bibles?  Like many of the Jews in the first century, some today are under the impression that a person must keep those laws in order to be saved.  Not only is that impossible, but it misses the purpose of the law.  As we’ll learn today on a Daily Walk, the law is designed to reveal our sin and drive us to our Savior!
January 23, 2020
Many believers are still living under the Old Testament law. They’re still trying to live up to a standard that is unattainable, instead of recognizing the law was intended to show us we can’t keep it. And we need a Savior who not only can save guilty sinners but also bring about holiness in our lives.  Today on a Daily Walk we’ll recognize this tendency we have so we don’t miss out on the true purpose of the law!  Pastor John Randall is in Romans chapter seven.
