Pastor John Randall heads back to Romans eight today. For the unbeliever this world is as good as it’s going to get for them, but the Christian has a glorious future to look forward to. The next life is going to be far better than what we have now, in Christ. And don’t you at times, wish you could hit the fast-forward button and be there already? The wait is hard, and there is some internal frustration to go along with that. Pastor John will set our sights on heaven, as he focuses on the blessings of the Spirit-filled life.

It’s without a doubt a pivotal point in world history. Just think of all that God accomplished through Paul the apostle! Obviously an adopted child will receive all the blessings and benefits that go with being apart of that particular family. Have you ever been setup… by God? If you’re a Christian you probably have, even if you haven’t noticed it. Maybe there you are on an airplane and you’re seated next to someone who doesn’t know the Lord and God is prompting you to say something. Or perhaps you share a simple verse with someone not knowing what they’re going through and it was just what they needed to hear! Today we’ll see God setup a meeting for Phillip and it’s a wonderful example of how God works in our daily walk!

Pastor John Randall is in the middle of a study in Acts. We're in chapter eight today. Phillip has just preached the gospel in Samaria, a revival breaks out, and a large number are saved. In this midst of this great work of God enter onto the scene Simon. At one time he professed faith in God and was baptized, but at this point in his life he made a terrible mistake… he thought he could purchase the gift of God! Did he have a false faith? Was he self-decieved? We'll find out.
