“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD.”
God is listening and is ready to welcome you when you seek and trust in him wholeheartedly!
Israel had wandered from their faith in God and had offended him by the sinful life they lived. When God spoke these words to Israel through Jeremiah it must have bought great relief to Israel.
Are you living rightly before God or have you wandered from faith in Him? Like Israel have you pushed God out of your life—living life your own way? I know when I have done this I felt a great sense of guilt and emptiness inside. Guilt only God could forgive and emptiness only He could fill.
Today God wants you to hear him say to you personally, “Call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you”. Do you hear his invitation? Do you hear his promise? God doesn’t promise you that you might find him. His promise is, “I will be found by you”.
God is standing ready to welcome you back into a close relationship with him “to give you a future and a hope”. Seek him with all your heart.
