John 17:15-18

I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

Stop and think about the people God has put in your life!

Look at Jesus' prayer to the Father for us in the verses above. He wants us in the middle of the secular world, even though its values are so different from our own. He wants us there because He has specifically sent us there.

You have been sent into the lives of the people around you to represent God to them. That's why Paul says, "we are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20). Think about the people in your life who don't know Jesus. They may barely even be acquaintances to you at this point. Still, you may be the greatest gift God has ever given them, because you know Jesus.

Through you, God wants to help them find the greatest gift He will ever give them—forgiveness and a loving welcome into His family, and a place in His plan of redemption for this fallen world. Don't miss what God is saying to you today. Stop and think about the people God has sent you to.
