Provoked to Jealousy

I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!
Romans 11:11-12

Paul felt that the subject of the Jews’ rejection of Jesus Christ, and the Gentiles’ salvation was of utmost importance. He was compelled to tell people about the Jews. You see, the Jews had failed to see Jesus as the Messiah. Yet the Gentiles received Him, and they have gained salvation. Thank God for the Jew! They are His chosen people through whom came the Messiah. God is not through with the Jews; He will once again work through Israel.

Paul turned his attention to the Gentiles to say how blessed they were to be saved. However, can you imagine the time when God calls Israel back to Himself and revival breaks out in Israel? It is written in Zechariah 13:6, when they recognize Christ as their Messiah, that “‘…one will say to him, ‘What are these wounds between your arms?’ Then he [Jesus] will answer, ‘Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.’ ” When they fully understand, Israel will start weeping and crying. One day, they will have a great revival.

When the time of Israel’s fullness comes, they will enter into the kingdom age and be rewarded. Jesus Christ will reign over the whole world, and Israel will rule and reign with Him. In these last days––God is beginning to do a great work!

“At that time shall arise Michael, [an archangel] the great prince who has charge of our people [Israel]. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book.”
