Accounted as Righteous

And therefore “it was accounted to him [Abraham] for righteousness.” Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.
Romans 4:22-25

Paul gave an incredible message using the history of Abraham. As people listened to the promise God gave to Abraham, they could understand for themselves that anyone can be justified by faith. As Abraham believed by faith in God’s promise, it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Understand, all Scripture has universal application. The expression, raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, indicates how anyone can be justified by faith as they believe by faith in the promise of God for salvation. All believers are justified by faith––“The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). Jesus was crucified for our offenses and raised from the dead for our justification. Do you believe this?

Knowing this truth, have you accepted Jesus by faith for salvation? Jesus Christ came, died on the Cross, and rose from the dead. One day He promised to come back again (John 14:1-4). The Scriptures reveal we are all going to stand in the presence of God to give an account of our lives (2 Corinthians 5:10). As He sees my life and I stand before Him, how I thank God for His grace, because Jesus is going to say, “Raul Ries, not guilty!” Why? Jesus died for my sins, and not just for me, but for you as well. We are saved from God’s judgment by placing our faith in the atoning sacrifice of Christ on the Cross.

Place your trust in Jesus––the King of kings and the Lord of lord’s––for your salvation! Then you, too, can be justified! Look up, for your redemption draws nigh!

…He [Jesus] poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
~Isaiah 53:12~
