God’s Grace Reigns

Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:20-21

Paul expounded on God’s grace reigning through righteousness. The entire human race is guilty before God. The law proves all of us to be sinners deserving eternal death. Yet notice how beautiful this is; God has spared people through His grace. Christ’s death atoned for sinners so that God’s grace is extended to them. Where sin abounded, the grace of God has abounded so much more. Jesus will forgive, cleanse and wash sinners by His own blood (Revelation 1:5). God the Father accepts them.

Christians have a saving faith and access to God’s throne room: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Through God’s grace believers are set apart from this world. They move forward to maturity in Christ by studying the Scriptures. They must learn to pray, as prayer is as oxygen; it is necessary for their survival. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live the Christian life. They will have the evidence of Christian fruit––joy, peace, love, and hope of glory (Galatians 5:22-23).

How many times have you come to God in repentance? Christians can continue to come to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins because He is the One who spread out His hands on the Cross and said “It is finished” (John 19:30). Jesus died for us because He loved us so much.

Think of all the people who do not accept God’s love and grace, it is so sad. Without God’s grace, in the end, their lives become so devastated. Every person who does not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be condemned eternally unless they come to conviction and repentance to accept Christ as their Savior. It is our duty to pray for them!

All that I was, my sin, my guilt, My death, was all my own; all that I am I owe to thee, My gracious God, alone.
