Life Given to Mortal Man

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Romans 8:11

Christians are in Christ Jesus, we are adorned in His beautiful grace and mercy. We identify with Christ. Believers are not condemned. They have deliverance from condemnation and the bondage of legalism. It was achieved through the operation of the new law––of the Spirit of God in Christ Jesus. There are two Laws, the Old Testament Covenant given to Moses (Exodus 24:12), and the New Covenant given by Jesus (Malachi 3:1b), and they do not contradict each other.

Remember, the Law pointed to my sin. The Spirit of God brought me into a relationship with Christ and showed me that I am forgiven. Christians are free––saved––cleansed and washed by the blood of the Lamb who gave himself on the Cross, once and for all. That is mind boggling! We cannot fully understand it.

Salvation is so simple, but people cannot handle the simplicity. They find it so hard to come to Christ, but all it takes is a simple step of faith. Paul declared the simple truth of salvation; it takes faith to become a Christian:

… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. …with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

As people understand the realities of the spirit and the flesh, they can rationally begin to think about heaven and hell. They consider how long they are going to live on earth. Nobody knows when they will die. Yet a Christian does not have to fear death; they have the promise of eternal life. In John 11:25-26, Jesus said to Martha: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live… Do you believe this?” Do you believe the words of Jesus?

Regeneration is something that is accomplished by God. A dead man cannot raise himself from the dead.
