Thus it happened when the king heard the words of the Law, that he tore his clothes. (2 Chronicles 34:19)

Jehoiakim  radically responded to the Word of God when it was read to him. As a drastic sign of his deep repentance, the king both wept and tore his clothes. Thus, the proper response to the Word of God involves an inward emotional response and an outward demonstration of repentance. God’s Word creates a radical response within the hearts of the hearers. When you truly discover the Word of God, it will create a reaction in your life that will be both inwardly emotional and outwardly demonstrative.

Live your life under God’s protection

When King David was running for his life, living in caves, he never lost his faith that he was protected.

Why? Because he knew God had his back – and He’s got yours, too.

So when times of trouble come into your life, remember that “Where is God?” might be the question that’s on your lips, but the answer is always: right where He’s always been. Working for the good of those who love Him, even when you can’t see it or feel it.

Pastor West’s new series, Living Under God’s Protection, shows you how you can live under God’s mighty shield, secure and safe through all of life’s storms and challenges.

And we’d love to send you a copy today as our thanks for your gift to share the message of God’s all-powerful, protective love with others who really need it in their lives.

So give now to help share God’s love – and be encouraged!
