Before creating his masterpiece, Mount Rushmore, Gutzon Borglum, had to remove the rock too soft to chisel. To accomplish this, he had to strategically place dynamite so the blast would not remove the granite he would need to continue the project. Similarly, our good works are prepared by God.This is not some impersonal fate that controls our lives no matter what we may do. This verse rather is talking about the gracious plan of a loving Father who wills the very best for us.
