. . . and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11)
At the name of Jesus, it won’t be just the bowing of the knee that will take place, but mouths will also get involved. This means that even the tongue of the atheist who says, “There is no God” will say, “Jesus is Lord.” Indeed, everyone will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! For all believers who are too stubborn to call on the name of Jesus, a dire situation in their lives will cause them to call on Jesus. He is not just Lord in the sweet by-and-by, but He is Lord right now.
